Episode 1 - Why I created Mëya?

Creating Mëya is much more than just opening an e-shop: it's about rethinking our relationship with our wardrobe. In this first episode, I explain how the idea was born and how Mëya aims to help us consume less, but better.

Mëya's Journal – Episode 1

Why I Created Mëya

Creating Mëya isn't just about opening a new online women's clothing shop.
It's primarily about addressing a need I've long felt: for a wardrobe that breathes. A wardrobe that isn't overflowing, that reflects me, and that lightens my mind as much as my body.

The Genesis

For years, I consumed fashion like many of us do: impulsively, influenced by trends, "must-haves," and sales. I accumulated clothes without truly finding myself in them. I bought to fill a void, to follow, sometimes to feel "good enough."
Then, one day, I wanted to rethink everything.

I wanted less, but better. Pieces that fit together. Outfits that were easy to imagine. My own style, not dictated by storefronts or algorithms.

The Discovery of Capsule Methods

Along the way, I discovered various approaches like the 3x3x3 method: learning to create more looks with fewer clothes; and many others... These ideas acted as a trigger. They showed me that a wardrobe could be simple, elegant, and liberating all at once.
That's where the idea for Mëya was born.

How Does Mëya Work, Practically?

Mëya was designed to simplify fashion and help consume less, but better.

  • Capsules: Each capsule is a coherent set of clothes that can be easily mixed and matched. The idea isn't to buy more and more, but to create more looks with fewer pieces, perhaps even those already in your closet.

  • Individual Purchases: You can, of course, buy items one by one, according to your needs or desires. Each garment is still designed to integrate into the capsule, into your wardrobe, and therefore to combine with others.

  • Advice: My role doesn't stop at offering clothes. I share my advice through:

    • posts and videos on Instagram and TikTok, to showcase outfit ideas, style tips, and simple methods to apply daily;

    • articles in this Mëya's Journal, to delve deeper, reflect together on our relationship with fashion, and gradually move towards a lighter wardrobe;

    • practical guides to help you create concrete looks from a few pieces;

    • and soon, personalized image coaching, to support each person according to their needs.

In summary: whether you choose a single piece, a set, or an entire capsule, you will always have the keys to create more style with fewer clothes.

A Slow Fashion Vision

With Mëya, there are no frantic, continuous collections. No overproduction. Just what's needed, at the right time, with style, practicality, and real attention to budget.
Because dressing well should never be a luxury.

My Mission Through Mëya

Through this project, I want to:

  • combine style, consciousness, and simplicity

  • offer trendy yet thoughtful fashion

  • help women find themselves through their wardrobe, not get lost in it, and dare to love themselves

Mëya's Journal

This blog is conceived as a vibrant space. Here, I will share my thoughts, advice, and inspirations. A way to help you make peace with your wardrobe and, most importantly, to (re)discover yourself through it.

If you wish to discover the path that led me to Mëya, I invite you to read the My Story page, where I recount my journey as a woman and entrepreneur, and the deep reasons that guided me to this project.
